So what is with the title?

Well I have always admired blogspot from afar. Not a stalker, I would just check it our every once in a while through others links and they all would look so awesome and professional. So after sideshow prompted me to start one I did, not much convincing was needed plus I have free time right now which always comes into play whenever I join something on the internet.

Anyway...so the title came up and I immediately panicked. What am I going to call my blog? It can't just be my name or username- gosh I didn't have to deal with this on xanga! I guess I am trading stress for a much more appealing blog. Anyway after I was consoled with the fact that I can change it later, the line "Enough is as good as a feast" just came to me.

So Mary Poppins is like my favorite movie. I used to watch it during my really depressive time to cheer me up when I was feeling really sad and down and "Who's Line" wasn't enough to get me out of it- so basically I watched it 5 times a week or more (no kidding). I LOVE THAT MOVIE and I may know it a little too well. I haven't watched it in a long while so I was very excited to hear Steve quote that line mentioned above at Crosstraining two weeks ago. He was talking about "the flesh" and it's desire to have us be god. (part of the "axis of evil," or the slippery triangle of sin, if you will) His teaching really opened my eyes to an area of my life that I never realized was holding me down as much as it was. I was giving in to the flesh on little battles, lots of little battles, which was preparing me to fail the big battles. The next day I just kept getting the feeling that I should fast from Chocolate for a month. So ok, I decided to, and wow! I have learned so much about my failure to even put up a fight with the flesh, on many more issues than I thought could even be related to fasting from chocolate. The phrase that keeps running though my head in all of these situations I am coming across- enough is as good as a feast. (It applies to much more than just food)

Well this bolg has turned in to way enough- it is only missing some chocolate dessert! Ah the spirituality of Mary Poppins.
